The Motel Beds/The Receiver/Jonathan Burges-Tonight @ Blind Bob's

...we apologize for our brevity, but we're confident you'll forgive us. The Motel Beds are headlong into the recording of a new album, which, from the sounds below, should blow minds far and wide. Columbus duo The Receiver are currently out in support of their self-released album, Length of Arms. If you aren't at Blind Bob's tonight, we probably can't help you...

MP3: The Motel Beds "Mr. Salad Days" [rough mix]
MP3: The Receiver "Little Monster"
MP3: The Receiver "Castles in the Air"

This should actually be a great show. Doubt anyone from VD will be there to represent though.

And Kyle, you are falling behind on the vote for #1 hipster. Not sure if you think that is good or bad...

I'm a high ranking member of the Dayton Celtic Indie scene and fuck you Kyle for the lack of coverage. Watch for my blog in the future.

Wow! Can you believe that there are people in the world in 2009 who are still under the impression that there's any intrinsic value in the concept of "our scene"? What a staggeringly underdeveloped mindset, way to think big, dipshits, all that changebumming has fooled you into believing that someone owes you something. They deem that they've gotten the short end of the stick (questionable at best), so they're gonna act like a bunch of three year olds who are losing mommys attention to a sibling, or maybe a new pet.

Here's a tip, when someone's willing to go so far as to create an entire blog based on feeble and uncreative insults of your efforts, you're doing something that people value. Yes, it's that simple. Simpler than a 30 year old played out Misfits tune.

To Anonymous #1:

I was unaware that the Dayton Celtic Indie scene had a caste system. You actually have the vishnu den considering shedding some light on "your scene". VD could use some interviews from high-ranking scenesters like you.

And to Anonymous #2:

You fucking rule Jay. I don't care how high-ranking Anon #1 is (or what the fresh new wave of younger hipsters say about you)!

And finally to Anonymous #3:

I do believe that our scene has intrinsic value. It's dropped down to $0.17 though.

Not enough to even buy a dusty old (yet still bad-ass) Misfits record off of you. I've got something that's about 3 decades old that I'd love to shove up your ass!

Long live the VD!
