Submissions Open for Dayton, OH Vol. 2
...the formidable Dayton label Squids Eye Records has announced plans to dish out another quantum helping of Gem City flavor with Dayton, OH Vol. 2 compilation. This time around, it will be available as a digital download only, but will still bring some of the finest bands from the current crop of Dayton acts. Label head Tony Gilbert will be accepting submissions through September 20, so you better hurry if you wanna make the cut...

well considering how many subpar bands are in this town i doubt that makes him pretentious to not want to put every whiney, crap band on there tony has turned ALL OF US unto some good music most of us never knew existed in our own town, all petty jealousies and grandiose dreams of being on squids eye aside.
One time I saw Tony at Thai9 with some hipster girl and tried to say what's up and talk about the scene and slide him my cd and he kind of acted like a prick.

also, i don't think what squids eye releases is pretentious at all - we are all over the place.
