Catch My Disease

Over at Canal Street Tavern tonight, you're gonna catch some real attitude. These bands mean business.

Opening the night will be the punkabilly of Akillis Green. Having seen them at Pearl recently, they put on an excellent, raw, high-energy set. Definitely veering more toward the rockabilly musically, they've got plenty of punk attitude to spare.

Next up we have Rumble Club from Covington, KY. This is some serious psycho/rockabilly with heavy doses of Cash piled on top. Can't imagine this one being any less than stellar. Frontman/axeman Jack Coray is a real guitar slinger, doing everyone from Rev. Horton Heat to Link Wray.

Closing the night, the unapologetic trashy garage punk of local supergroup Switchblade Serenade. With their members having done time in virtually every garage band that's sprung up in Dayton over the last several years, this is gonna be a group to watch in the coming months as they prepare their debut salvo. There is absolutely no way of telling what they're gonna deliver tonight....be there!
