Squids Eye Showcase feat. Joey Deady/The Sailing/Cry Baby Genius/State School-Tonight @ Pearl

...allegedly this will be the last opportunity to get yr monthly Squids Eye Records fix at Pearl, so better make it count. On tap tonight, SER has brought out the latent talent that is Joey Deady (ex-Jet Kid Committee), the epic dream-rockers The Sailing, hip-hop flavor from Cry Baby Genius, and local twee/folk up-and-comers State School. This one's all over the map, so check it out...

this was one of my favorite shows we have done. the crowd was small, but it made everything that much better. it was the best set mike has had yet, joey's set was awesome, hard to believe it was his first show, state school were great, and the sailing played a fun set gearing up for saturday to the few that were left, including some impromptu covers. the pearl and the pearl staff are the best in dayton by far, i thought nite owl closing would destroy the scene, little did i know that a dance club would become the new haven for the dayton music scene, i love it.

"i thought nite owl closing would destroy the scene"

You are either a 19 year old.....or kidding. I hope. Night Owl was a horrible music venue and Pearl is a close second.
