Papercuts


...although it's rare, once in a while a title actually conveys the essence of a song perfectly. In the case of the new track "Future Primitive" from San Francisco's Papercuts, the name perfectly captures the essence of the song: traces of Wall of Sound depth coalescing with mellotrons and a soulful/Kraut rhythm merge together to create a sound that is at once the product of the past but continues to inform the present into tomorrow. The strictly-analog endeavor of one Jason Quever, You Can Have What You Want will come out on the Gnomsong imprint in the US April 14...
