Dayton Music Fest-TONIGHT
...well, kids, after weeks and weeks of talking about it and everyone throwing in their two cents as to why its a good/bad thing, tonight is Dayton Music Fest. No matter who you try and see, it looks like yr gonna having a good time doing it. You can get a refresher on the schedule over here.
LAST MINUTE SCHEDULE CHANGE: Over at Canal Street Tavern, The Story Changes is now playing at midnight and Magic Jackson will be playing at 1 am. Please make a note of that and spread the word...
...also, don't forget the two other music-related events going on today that, while not officially part of Dayton Music Fest, both stand to compliment the event perfectly...
...rest assured that our staff will be out and about tonight, covering whatever we can. Look for a full report on DMF 08 right here on The Buddha Den...

how are the gluons not one of the top 31 bands in dayton? i will go out on a limb and say they've sold more records this year then anyone playing the DMF except for pollard, been wrote up 25+ times, praised by such bands as ecstatic sunshine, video hippos, ponytail, and derrick from tilly & the wall / flowers forever BUT they are not a top 31 band in the dayton music scene????
Not all bands in Dayton try to get in on DMF, y'know.
the gluons did submit material, twice. but they just aren't that good of band i guess. -)_
Then that shit is whack, bru.
i have no interest in playing that thing even though i attended it. also, that is definitely not a top 31 bands in dayton list!
gluons FOREVER
you went out on that limb and it fucking snapped. I wouldn't normally go out and proclaim "the gluons suck" but I'm hoping this was pure sarcasm or some insane out of their mind friend of theirs and not an actual member of the band. The gluons aren't even in the top 31 bands currently on squids eye. You named off praise from bands I've never heard of and as far as write ups 25+ seriously ? why ? what did you sell 10 cd's at the pearl last month ? The fest had some bombs for sure, maybe they should have included your mom's basement as a venue and then maybe you might have got to open up for your friends and relatives.
why don't you pick up rolling stone/blender/any fucking music magazine/crawl out from under a rock under your ass/ if you haven't heard any of those bands...
Ponytail is in the new mens health and tilly and the wall was on fucking bevrly hills 90210 a few weeks back.
Hi my name is Andrew! Stop talking about my band! ^_^
yea dude go pick up a blender and find out about some totally credible bands or maybe next time you go to starbucks pick up some samplers. I just checked their myspace page today. 1 play !!!! one song had 100 plays the other 3 had under 25 each. Oh snap those shits must be flying off the shelves at Gem City. I'm all for people creating music and it's popularity has nothing to do with it's actual substance. I also understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. You made them out to be outselling tons of dayton bands on the fest and that is really the only reason I responded. I really have nothing against them personally.
