VIDEO: Smug Brothers "Striking Relative Humor"
...this came across our desks this morning and we thought we'd pass it along to all of you. One of Dayton's newer outfits, Smug Brothers, have completed a video for the track "Striking Relative Humor", which is slated to appear on their upcoming Fortune Rumors album due out on Squids Eye Records this fall. Building off the buzz generated via their EP release series this past spring, the band have made a couple high-profile festival appearances in the last month with their Dayton debut slated for this year's installment of the Dayton Music Fest, taking place on October 3. The clip is a nice little lo-fi gem that holds well the band's aesthetic. Enjoy...

I like this a lot! A LOT!!
well that sucks.
I am wondering why you keep referring to the Smug Brothers in the third person, as if you are not a member of it?
It would be fine for you to promote your own music on your blog if you were at least transparent about the fact that, duh 'This is my new music'. It feels a little shady the way you are going about it right now.
That said, excited to hear the release!
Well then, where's YOUR video John Landis?
"It feels a little shady the way you are going about it right now."
Yeah Kyle, you're such a sneaky douche. How dare you try to promote something at least somewhat anonymously as it's own seperate entity besides the Buddah Den. What a dick move man.
You see, your audience is supposed to consist solely of us jealous, non productive, insecure knuckledragging cockchuggers strictly here in Dayton, NOT elsewhere. Are you thinking outside of Dayton? God, you're SUCH a cock. How in the world are we supposed to get jobs back in this city?
Looks like there's PLENTY of blog writing jobs in Dayton- it's just that they DON'T PAY anything!
Jay
it's very simple...if you don't like a blog quit reading it!!! write your own blog instead! quit wasting everyone's time including your own writing negative comments. kyle is a very passionate person who has spent the last two years doing everything in his power to help the dayton music scene. maybe you should visit the vishnu den instead!
Agree with the above.
Kyle does more for other people than they do in return for him, and he's happy to do it.
Speaking of, it's interesting to note that the blog that's built on teenage style mudslinging is the one where there's about forty comments per post. It says a lot actually.
doesnt the people person guy have something to do with this?
