...with the weather continuing to improve, we're finding all kinds of goodies sprouting up. Cincinnati duo You, You're Awesome drop their new EP of tweaked out fun, You're My Superhero, today as a digital download. The team of Kevin Bayer and Yusef Quotah has been earning quite a reputation in the Queen City for their high energy live shows, and with this their second release in six months they seem poised to start spiraling out from their homebase. YYA's sonic palette is largely populated by twitchy electronic melodies with the drums being recorded live at the ubiquitous Ultrasuede Studios in Cincinnati by Brian Neisz (The Greenhornes, Heartless Bastards, Wussy), keeping things grounded in the human realm. These guys are just amazing. I loved their first EP, and this second disc has raised the bar - and when you say "high energy live shows" you aren't kidding - I heard they served Pie after their very first gig. Does it get better?
....we need to get these guys to DAYTON!!!
