The Sailing/Fox Japan/Paego Paego-Tonight @ The Oregon Express

...while there are a number of quality shows out there for you tonight (we'll get to those in a minute), our pick for the night is to head over to The Oregon Express to catch a trio of fine young bands. Opening the night will be Paego Paego, back in action after several months of inactivity due to school schedules. We're excited to hear some of the new material the band has been working on for their debut release, as the band's chamber-style post-rock trip hit us pretty good back in the summer. In from West Virgnia is FOX Japan, who brings with them monster powerpop chourses a la Weezer or Superchunk. Headling the festivities will be The Sailing, who in recent appearances has proven to us here that they are one of the most compelling bands in Dayton at the moment. With near boundless musical ambition and the chops to deliver, these space/dream rockers have us piqued for their upcoming album to drop...

...we like to give you options, kids, and tonight you have plenty of other ones. Down in Centerville at Celebrity you've got the big punk show with legends, The Queers, or over at Aquarius you can catch local legends Luxury Pushers.

The Casualties/Luxury Pushers/Legbone/The Adversaries-Tonight @ Celebrity's

If you dare venture south to the outpost of Centerville, you're in for a real punk rock treat tonight kids. Out at Celebrity's, Do Tell Records is hosting NYC punk rock legends The Casualties. These guys are the real deal, throwing way back to the early 80s-style punk/hardcore sound. As if that weren't enough, local legends Luxury Pushers are bringing their no-hold-barred punk rock n' roll sound along with local punk mainstays Legbone. Just for good measure, ska-punk newbies The Adversaries? will kick off the evening....

...the show is all ages, so bring your little brother or sister. They'll need to see this one....if you're trying to find Celebrity's, it's on 725 right behind Blockbuster.....

Are you a Celebrity or a Nite Owl???

Hey kids, you got two hot options tonight....seriously, there are no losers on this one...

...if you're up for a drive, then you're in for a treat...The Story Changes headlines the bill down at Celebrity's in Centerville (right behind Blockbuster on SR 725). Should be a great rock show with DJ Jay Madewell of Fab Gear fame spinning his top jams in between the bands...or...

...if you're inclined to stay in the Gem City proper, head over to the Nite Owl where the always incendiary Human Reunion plays host to Cincinnati faves Eat Sugar and The Seedy Seeds. This is gonna be a synthy good time....

...either way, get up and get out!

The Color Fred/The Story Changes/Joe Anderl/Captain of Industry @ Celebrity 9/13

Tomorrow night. Way out in Centerville. I haven't been out to this club yet, but it's going to be an all-ages show with some really great bands. I've been told that The Color Fred (Fred Mascherino of Taking Back Sunday and Breaking Pangaea) is going to be a real treat. Not to mention 3 of Dayton's best all on one bill, all of whom have recently released new a new CD/EP.

Thanks to Do Tell Records for putting this one together...
