The Story Changes/The Sound for Language/Stone the Mayor Sheriffs/8-Bit Revival-Tonight @ Blind Bob's

...having recently returned from a 6-week bout of touring that took them from coast to coast, The Story Changes make their triumphant return to the Gem City tonight at Blind Bob's to celebrate the release of their new split album, Analogies. Sharing disc time with AZ outift Let Go, Analogies is the result of a trip out west earlier this year to record with producer Jaime Woolford (Let Go/Punchline/Gin Blossoms) who mixed the songs together for a consistent sound and feel. This is the first release from TSC since 2007's The Way of the Dinosaur. Also along for the ride this evening are good friends The Sound for Language (with a new lineup), Stone the Mayor Sheriffs, and 8-Bit Revival. See you there...

The Story Changes Seeks New Bassist

...after hiring bassist Kyle Sando from Minneapolis last winter, The Story Changes announced today that Sando will be leaving the band to further pursue his education back home. The band are currently seeking a bassist. Here's the info from the band:

We're currently on the lookout for a bassist and want to explore as many options as possible.

We have things worked out to continue playing live so we won't have to cancel any shows or rush any decisions, but we're still in need of finding a fulltime guy or girl for the spot. If you are interested please get in touch and we will get some info from you and touch base from there about a possible get together.

We call Dayton, OH home and practice in town quite a bit when home. Good gear is a must. Backing vocal ability is a big plus. We travel a lot and need someone who can pick up and go. We have a new album out on Future Destination Records along with two other discs of material. We have a lot of fun doing this, but there's also a lot of work involved and a ton of scheduling. We need someone reliable who is amped on the band and ready/able to hit the road.
An active list of shows and past touring schedule is listed under the tour link at www.theStoryChanges. com to get an idea of a workload.

Summary:
- Good gear is a must
- Backing vocal ability is a big plus
- Ready and able to hit the road
- A positive and hardworking attitude is mandatory
- Dayton, Ohio area or able to commute regularly

Message us on myspace or email band@theStoryChanges.com with all inquiries.

Best of luck to The Story Changes during this transition...

Legalize Gassett!!!

Tomorrow night should be more than anyone can handle....

Over at the rarely-used Gilly's, we've got a fantastic local bill. Captain of Industry, 8-Bit Revival, John Gassett's new project Goatherd, and the recently reconfigured Mouth of the Architect are poised to have one of the best local shows of the season. Review: The Color Fred/The Story Changes/Captain of Industry/Joe Anderl @ Celebrity 9/13

For a show so far out of downtown, there were a lot of people that showed up. Everyone had energetic sets, but for me, Joe Anderl really stole the show, even in the opening slot. It was also great to see so many people out in Centerville supporting a new club, Celebrity, which relocated from N. Main St. Do Tell Records is looking to do more all-ages shows there, so keep your eye out for that.

The Color Fred/The Story Changes/Joe Anderl/Captain of Industry @ Celebrity 9/13

Tomorrow night. Way out in Centerville. I haven't been out to this club yet, but it's going to be an all-ages show with some really great bands. I've been told that The Color Fred (Fred Mascherino of Taking Back Sunday and Breaking Pangaea) is going to be a real treat. Not to mention 3 of Dayton's best all on one bill, all of whom have recently released new a new CD/EP.

Thanks to Do Tell Records for putting this one together...
