VIDEO: De Novo Dahl @ LaundroMatinee

...here's yet another great clip from the kids over at LaundroMatinee featuring a band that we've not seen in these parts for a while now, Nashville's De Novo Dahl. After hitting Dayton pretty regularly for most of 2006-2008, we haven't seen them in nearly a year. Guess this clip will have to suffice for now. While the band's spastic/funky power pop is great in recorded form, in the live showcase their unbridled enthusiasm and their homemade Nudie suits are off the charts. In case you missed it last year, we'd highly recommend checking out 2008's Move Every Muscle, Make Every Sound. Lots of fun...

VIDEO: Buffalo Killers "It's a Shame" @ LaundroMatinee

...Indianapolis-based music blog My Old Kentucky Blog has been working for a while now on a brilliant project called LaundroMatinee in which they partner with a radio station at a local school in Indiana, bring in great touring acts for a recording session (much like Daytrotter) and then put up the audio AND video for the world to enjoy. Great idea, right? Well, they just put up a session from Cincinnati faves Buffalo Killers featuring "It's a Shame" from last year's Let It Ride album. Hearing these guys thrown down in a great sounding room like this is just an absolute treat for the ears. Have a look/listen:

You can grab more audio of the Buffalo Killers' session from LaundroMatinee right here.
